Your Basic Rig

--- The first thing to understand is that your IDPA rig can be used in USPSA, but not necessarily vice-versa.---

 ---  So, if you are wondering where to begin, gear up for IDPA. ---

Don't buy poor quality gear.  If your gear sucks, your performance will suffer.

• Magazines - You are going to need AT LEAST 3 magazines; be sure to have 4 or more.

• Concealment - Most IDPA stages require a concealment vest.  You can certainly use a shirt or jacket, but clearing your pistol while wearing a true concealment vest is likely to be faster.

• Shot Timer

Some Additional Recommended Accessories 

• Speed Loader - UpLula Loader - If your thumbs get tired from loading magazines, or if you are shooting a lot of cold weather matches, the UpLula loader will make the job easy.

• Microfiber cloth - to clean your mags and dry your hands.

• Grip Powder - Chalkless Grip Enhancer  -  Just a few grains of this nearly invisible powder will give you a clean, positive grip on your pistol.  Some people even apply it to their face for a better cheek weld when shooting rifles.

• Magazine Brush - Your mags will be dropping in the dirt and sand, which can lead to feeding issues.  Pop off the base plate and run a brush through the magazine to keep it running smoothly,
