Supplies for a successful match

Range Supplies

Every range box needs the following supplies

• Shot Timer - AMD Labs Commander syncs with Practiscore and avoids errors while saving time

• Tablet - Kindle Fire with Practiscore loaded

• Stapler - Arrow Staplers have stood the test of time

• Staples  -1/2" T50

• Utility Knife

• Velcro Straps - 12"

• Spikes - 10" for securing walls and stands

• 2# hammer

• Flat pry bar

• Something to hold all of the stuff in - large ammo can can work

• 5 Gallon bucket as a trash bucket

• Back-up battery for the tablet

For Crappy Weather

• Spray glue - when it gets cold out, or rains, target pasters don't stick very well,  A coat of spray glue makes a huge difference.

• Plastic bags to cover targets if it rains - Have dry cleaning bags ready to cover the targets.

• Grilling Skewers - the day will come when the humidity or rain will make the heads of your targets droop.  Sliding grilling skewers into them will keep them upright

• Battery back-ups for the Tablets - When the temperature drops, be sure to have battery back-ups.  The cold weather drains the batteries much faster.

Next Level Supplies

• Percussion Hammer to drive in spikes - when you get tired or pounding anchor spikes into the ground, consider buying a Milwaukee Percussion Hammer and Drive

• Taping guns - The Double Alpha pasting gun is premium priced

• Powered staplers

  • the Arrow ET501C battery operated staple gun is great

  • If you want to step this up again, consider the Milwaukee 2447-20

Pasters - Don't buy discount / less than quality pasters.  If you do, they will be falling off the target in the cold or damp weather.  So, buy them from Dave's Target Barn.

Targets - CHL Targets is the overall best deal.  Although they say "Free Shipping" it is bundled in the price.  Other companies simply screw you on the shipping fees.

Bobber - The bobber is a target that shifts up and down when activated

Max Trap - This is similar to the clamshell, but the target exposure is a bit more limited.

Running Man - The Rail Mover is a brilliant and simple version of the running man target

Stomp Box - MGM Pressure Plate Activator

Post Mounted or Stomp Activator - The Ripper - This activator can be used as a stomp box, or activated by a post mounted knock over plate.
